About the Role

The position is available on a full-time basis at 40 hours per week, with a four or five-day working pattern depending on contracted hours. Part-time applications are also welcome, with hours negotiable at interview.

The role offers the opportunity to manage a varied small animal caseload while working alongside an experienced clinical team, including an ECC-qualified Head Vet.

This established small animal veterinary practice in Whitstable has a friendly and collaborative team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, PCAs and reception colleagues.

The practice is well equipped with:

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality first opinion veterinary care to small animal patients.

  • Conduct routine and complex consultations.

  • Manage a varied medical and surgical caseload.

  • Perform diagnostic investigations using the available equipment.

  • Undertake surgical procedures appropriate to experience.

  • Provide high-quality dental care where appropriate.

  • Develop effective treatment plans and communicate these clearly to clients.

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with pet owners.

  • Work collaboratively with Veterinary Nurses and the wider practice team.

  • Contribute to clinical discussions, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

  • Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical governance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a Veterinary Surgeon with strong small animal clinical skills who enjoys working as part of a friendly, supportive and progressive team.

They will ideally demonstrate:

Compensation & Benefits
