Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Veterinarian, you will:

  • Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose and manage illness, injury, or disease

  • Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed

  • Advise pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and treatment options

  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect and interpret samples and test results

  • Provide compassionate end-of-life care and client counseling

  • Maintain detailed patient medical records and ensure continuity of care

  • Uphold veterinary ethics and compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and standards

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution

  • Valid state veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain)

  • DEA/BNDD eligibility

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional, courteous, and client-focused demeanor

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted (and heavier weights with team support)
