Key Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals, diagnosing and managing illnesses and injuries

  • Utilize diagnostic equipment, collect and interpret samples, and formulate treatment plans

  • Perform surgeries and prescribe appropriate medications

  • Provide preventative care education and client counseling

  • Offer compassionate end-of-life care guidance to clients

  • Maintain accurate patient medical records

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, statutes, and hospital protocols

Candidate Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution

  • Current or eligible Tennessee veterinary licensure

  • Eligibility for DEA/BNDD certification

  • Strong communication and client service skills

  • Professional, courteous, and collaborative approach with colleagues and clients

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently (over 25 lbs. with assistance)
