Key Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals, diagnosing and managing illnesses and injuries
Utilize diagnostic equipment, collect and interpret samples, and formulate treatment plans
Perform surgeries and prescribe appropriate medications
Provide preventative care education and client counseling
Offer compassionate end-of-life care guidance to clients
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, statutes, and hospital protocols
Candidate Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
Current or eligible Tennessee veterinary licensure
Eligibility for DEA/BNDD certification
Strong communication and client service skills
Professional, courteous, and collaborative approach with colleagues and clients
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently (over 25 lbs. with assistance)
