The Opportunity
A well-established, veterinarian-led small animal practice in Charlotte, NC is seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and growing clinical team. This role offers a hybrid model of general practice and urgent care, with urgent care services launching mid-2025.
The practice is led by an experienced and supportive Medical Director known for mentorship and clinical excellence, making this an excellent opportunity for both early-career veterinarians and seasoned DVMs seeking growth, autonomy, and long-term potential—including ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized, high-quality care in a general practice setting
Perform common surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgeries and dental extractions
Deliver minor urgent care treatments, with urgent care rotations starting July 2025
Rotate weekend shifts as part of the team schedule
Educate clients and strengthen the human-animal bond through clear communication
Model professionalism, compassion, and respect in daily practice
Ideal Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an AVMA-accredited institution
Active North Carolina veterinary license (or eligibility; licensing costs covered if relocating)
Competence in GP procedures and surgeries; urgent care/emergency experience a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Genuine passion for patient care, mentorship, and long-term professional growth
