Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical exams and diagnose medical conditions in companion animals

  • Develop treatment plans and provide preventive healthcare recommendations

  • Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures as needed

  • Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret laboratory results

  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment options and care plans

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow

  • Uphold the highest standards of veterinary ethics and patient care

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution

  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Alaska

  • Strong commitment to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work within a team-oriented environment
