Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions in companion animals

  • Develop treatment plans and provide preventative healthcare services

  • Perform routine surgical procedures and dentistry when appropriate

  • Utilize diagnostic tools including laboratory testing and imaging technologies

  • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding treatment plans and patient care

  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care

  • Uphold the highest standards of veterinary ethics and medical practice

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited university

  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in New York

  • DEA license preferred or ability to obtain

  • USDA accreditation preferred but not required

  • Strong communication and client relationship skills

  • Collaborative and compassionate approach to veterinary care

  • Interest in general medicine and surgery

  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required

Compensation & Benefits
