Associate Veterinarian – Carthage, NC
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinarian to join a growing, skilled team. This role is ideal for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates looking to provide high-quality medical care while enjoying a positive work-life balance.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with a tenured team of support staff, including RVTs, assistants, and CSRs, all cross-trained to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care.
About the Practice
Join a well-equipped, modern small animal hospital offering comprehensive care. The facility features:
5 exam rooms, 2 surgical suites, and a large treatment area
Digital and dental radiography
Ultrasound and orthopedic instruments
In-house lab equipment for diagnostic efficiency
The practice is dedicated to supporting local animal welfare organizations, including Caring Hearts for Canines and Feline Friends of Moore County, fostering community involvement and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for small animals
Educate clients on preventative care and responsible pet ownership
Collaborate with skilled RVTs, assistants, and support staff
Participate in mentorship and professional development opportunities as appropriate
Maintain high standards of patient care, documentation, and client communication
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an accredited institution
Valid veterinary license in North Carolina
Passion for small animal medicine and client education
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Open to mentorship (if new graduate) or collaborative practice (if experienced)
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary (based on experience). Salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000
