About the Role
A general small animal veterinary hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their compassionate and professional team. This role is ideal for veterinarians passionate about high-quality medicine, wellness care, and client education, and who thrive in collaborative, team-oriented environments. Work Hours consist of Monday to Wednesday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM; Thursday to Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The successful candidate will provide preventive, wellness, and medical care, perform routine surgeries, and engage in diagnostics, while building strong relationships with both pets and their families.

Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and manage disease or injuries
Advise clients on preventive care, nutrition, and treatment options
Perform routine surgeries and prescribe medications as needed
Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Provide guidance on end-of-life care
Support a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, state regulations, and hospital policies
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent from an accredited AVMA institution
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in North Carolina
Eligible to obtain DEA licensure
Strong communication, interpersonal, and client education skills
Collaborative, professional, and team-oriented mindset
Passion for high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine
Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds independently; over 25 pounds with assistance

Competitive base salary with production-based earning potential (Salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000)
