Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical exams and diagnose medical conditions in companion animals

  • Provide preventive care including vaccinations, wellness exams, and client education

  • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding treatment options and ongoing care

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records

  • Uphold AAHA standards and veterinary ethical guidelines

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution

  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Alaska
