A well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in New Port Richey, Florida is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian with strong general practice and surgical skills. About the Practice

  • AAHA-accredited small animal general practice

  • Primary focus on dogs and cats, with a special interest in dermatology

  • Advanced diagnostics including cone-beam CT, laser surgery, cryosurgery, intradermal allergy testing, and video otoscopy

  • Strong emphasis on client education, post-procedure follow-ups, and continuity of care

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the veterinary team while upholding high medical standards

  • Develop and implement medical protocols and best practices

  • Perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries

  • Interpret laboratory and diagnostic results to support accurate diagnoses

  • Educate clients and build long-term, trust-based relationships

  • Deliver compassionate, individualized patient care

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university

  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida

  • Experienced in small animal general practice and surgery

  • Compassionate, team-oriented approach to medicine

  • Strong communication and client-education skills

  • Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs

  • Interest in dermatology a plus
