A well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in New Port Richey, Florida is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian with strong general practice and surgical skills. About the Practice
AAHA-accredited small animal general practice
Primary focus on dogs and cats, with a special interest in dermatology
Advanced diagnostics including cone-beam CT, laser surgery, cryosurgery, intradermal allergy testing, and video otoscopy
Strong emphasis on client education, post-procedure follow-ups, and continuity of care
Warm, collaborative, and transparent team culture
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the veterinary team while upholding high medical standards
Develop and implement medical protocols and best practices
Perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries
Interpret laboratory and diagnostic results to support accurate diagnoses
Educate clients and build long-term, trust-based relationships
Deliver compassionate, individualized patient care
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university
Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida
Experienced in small animal general practice and surgery
Compassionate, team-oriented approach to medicine
Strong communication and client-education skills
Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs
Interest in dermatology a plus
