About the Role

A respected small animal general practice with urgent care services in Dade City, Florida is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a busy, community-trusted hospital. This role offers a diverse caseload, strong technician support, and the opportunity to practice hands-on, relationship-driven medicine in a fast-paced yet supportive environment.

With 20–30+ cases per day, exposure to urgent care, and occasional hoof stock and exotic patients, this position is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy clinical variety, continuous learning, and meaningful client relationships.

About the Practice

  • Small Animal GP with Urgent Care

  • Average 20–30+ patients per day

  • 2–3 technicians per doctor

  • Case mix includes wellness, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, plus some hoof stock and exotics

  • Modern diagnostics including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house labs, and dental suite

  • Fast-paced, collaborative, teaching-focused, high-touch culture

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality medical and surgical care across a varied caseload

  • Manage wellness, sick visits, dentistry, and urgent care cases

  • Build strong, long-term client relationships through education and communication

  • Collaborate closely with technicians, CSRs, and leadership

  • Participate in the care of occasional hoof stock and exotic patients (training supported)

Candidate Profile

  • DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school

  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Compassionate, client-centered approach to care

  • Strong communication and client-education skills

  • Open to seeing some hoof stock and exotic animals

  • Team-oriented with a commitment to professional growth
