They are seeking a dedicated veterinarian to join a growing, full-service veterinary team in Hewitt, TX. They will provide high-quality care for both companion animals and equine patients, working alongside skilled veterinary technicians and support staff in a collaborative environment.

This role is ideal for experienced veterinarians looking for career growth or for veterinarians interested in eventually stepping into a Managing DVM / Medical Director role.

About the Team
They operate in a state-of-the-art veterinary facility, featuring:

  • Digital radiography and dental radiology

  • Ultrasound and complete in-house laboratory

  • Separate surgical, dental, and ultrasound suites

  • Support from multiple licensed veterinary technicians and assistants

Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals and equine patients to detect and diagnose disease or injuries

  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results

  • Advise clients on preventative care and treatment options

  • Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed

  • Provide guidance around end-of-life care

  • Maintain accurate patient medical records

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and relevant statutes

Candidate Profile

  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution

  • Appropriate state licensure and eligibility for DEA/BNDD

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional, courteous, and team-oriented

  • Confident in decision-making and committed to high-quality patient care

Compensation & Benefits
