About the Role
They are seeking a dedicated veterinarian to join a growing, full-service veterinary team in Hewitt, TX. They will provide high-quality care for both companion animals and equine patients, working alongside skilled veterinary technicians and support staff in a collaborative environment.
This role is ideal for experienced veterinarians looking for career growth or for veterinarians interested in eventually stepping into a Managing DVM / Medical Director role.
About the Team
They operate in a state-of-the-art veterinary facility, featuring:
Digital radiography and dental radiology
Ultrasound and complete in-house laboratory
Separate surgical, dental, and ultrasound suites
Support from multiple licensed veterinary technicians and assistants

Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals and equine patients to detect and diagnose disease or injuries
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results
Advise clients on preventative care and treatment options
Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed
Provide guidance around end-of-life care
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and relevant statutes
Candidate Profile
DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
Appropriate state licensure and eligibility for DEA/BNDD
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional, courteous, and team-oriented
Confident in decision-making and committed to high-quality patient care
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 USD per year, negotiable based on experience
