Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results
Advise clients on preventative care, treatment options, and holistic approaches
Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed
Provide guidance around end-of-life care
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, statutes, and policies
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited AVMA institution
Appropriate state licensure and eligibility for DEA/BNDD
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Compassionate, team-oriented, and client-focused
Interest in holistic care, herbal medicine, and acupuncture; Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) credential preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $115,000 – $135,000 USD per year, negotiable based on experience
