We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join a modern, full-service veterinary practice in Lakeland, FL. This full-time role allows you to provide exceptional care to dogs, cats, and occasional exotic pets while working in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals, diagnosing and managing illness or injuries

  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results

  • Advise clients on preventive care, treatment options, and wellness plans

  • Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed

  • Provide compassionate end-of-life care

  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and relevant regulations

Candidate Profile

  • DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited school

  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida

  • DEA/BNDD eligibility

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Professional, positive, and collaborative demeanor

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs independently and assist with heavier patients/equipment

  • Ideal for both new graduates and experienced veterinarians seeking a supportive and innovative environment
