Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat patients to diagnose illness and injury

  • Perform medical and surgical procedures across a diverse caseload

  • Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret laboratory and imaging results

  • Educate clients on preventative care and treatment options

  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans

  • Provide compassionate end-of-life care and client guidance

  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, regulations, and protocols

  • Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff

Candidate Profile

  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas

  • Eligibility to obtain DEA licensure

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and client education

  • Interest in small animal medicine; large animal experience welcomed but not required

  • New graduates encouraged to apply with mentorship available

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary: $115,000 – $175,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)
