Responsibilities
Examine and treat patients to diagnose illness and injury
Perform medical and surgical procedures across a diverse caseload
Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret laboratory and imaging results
Educate clients on preventative care and treatment options
Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans
Provide compassionate end-of-life care and client guidance
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, regulations, and protocols
Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff
Candidate Profile
DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
Eligibility to obtain DEA licensure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to high-quality patient care and client education
Interest in small animal medicine; large animal experience welcomed but not required
New graduates encouraged to apply with mentorship available
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $115,000 – $175,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)
$125,000 sign-on bonus
