Responsibilities
Perform thorough physical examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and preventive care for patients.
Develop problem-based approaches including differential diagnoses, treatment plans, and diagnostic interpretation.
Conduct routine and complex surgeries, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratories, and mass removals.
Execute dental procedures, from exams and radiographs to extractions and oral surgeries.
Create and manage day hospitalization and overnight care plans, ensuring smooth continuity with referral hospitals.
Participate in team rounds and collaborative knowledge sharing to enhance hospital-wide care standards.
Document all patient interactions, findings, and treatments accurately in the medical record.
Uphold hospital SOPs and professional standards while exercising clinical discretion.
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
Active veterinary licensure in Oklahoma (or ability to obtain by start date).
DEA license and Controlled Substance license (if applicable).
Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with compassion and professionalism in emotional or high-stress situations.
Team-oriented, willing to learn, and open to adopting new techniques and treatments.
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality patient care.
