Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and manage disease or injuries

  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results

  • Advise clients on preventative care and treatment options

  • Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed (optional)

  • Provide guidance on end-of-life care

  • Maintain accurate medical records

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, state regulations, and clinic policies

Candidate Profile

  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited school

  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida

  • Eligibility for DEA/BNDD licensure

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Professional, courteous, and team-oriented

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted (more with help)

  • Passionate about high-quality medicine and client relationships
