Responsibilities

  • Perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans for companion animals and exotic pets

  • Provide preventative care services including vaccinations, wellness exams, and client education

  • Perform soft tissue surgeries and advanced dentistry procedures

  • Utilize diagnostic equipment including ultrasound and digital radiography

  • Provide internal medicine care and manage urgent or emergency cases as needed

  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment options and ongoing patient care

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution

  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Alaska

  • Commitment to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine and ethical care

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to medicine

  • Interest in working with small animals and exotic species

  • New graduates welcome with mentorship provided

Compensation & Benefits
