About the Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join a thriving, multi-doctor small animal practice in Morehead City, NC. This role offers flexible scheduling, medical autonomy, and a supportive team environment, allowing you to provide high-quality care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced veterinarian, you’ll have access to advanced tools and technology to deliver comprehensive veterinary care, including general medicine and surgery.
About the Practice
The hospital is a full-service veterinary practice offering a wide range of services:
Preventative care and nutritional counseling
Advanced soft tissue surgery
Oral and dental services
End-of-life counseling and at-home euthanasia
Online pharmacy, boarding, and grooming
The clinic is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, K-laser therapy, and electrocardiography to support the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality small animal medicine and surgery
Deliver preventative, wellness, and advanced care services to patients
Maintain strong relationships with clients built on trust, empathy, and clear communication
Collaborate with colleagues to foster a team-oriented, professional environment
Ensure compliance with veterinary standards, ethics, and safety regulations
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited university
Active veterinary license in North Carolina
DEA license preferred but not required; USDA accreditation preferred but not required
Passionate about pet care and providing excellent veterinary medicine
Collaborative, empathetic, and committed to continuing professional development
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive compensation ($140,000 to $160,000)
