Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals, diagnosing and managing illnesses or injuries

  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect and interpret samples

  • Advise pet owners on preventative care, nutrition, and treatment options

  • Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed

  • Provide guidance on end-of-life care for pets

  • Maintain accurate medical records

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and regulations

Candidate Profile

  • DVM/VMD from an accredited AVMA institution

  • Valid state licensure and eligibility for DEA/BNDD

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients

  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds independently; over 25 pounds with assistance

  • Collaborative, compassionate, and motivated to provide high-quality care
