Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat patients to diagnose illness and injury

  • Perform routine and advanced medical and surgical procedures

  • Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret laboratory results

  • Provide preventative care guidance and treatment recommendations

  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans

  • Deliver compassionate end-of-life care and client support

  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, regulations, and protocols

  • Collaborate effectively with veterinary technicians and support staff

Candidate Profile

  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas

  • Eligibility to obtain DEA licensure

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional, compassionate approach with clients and colleagues

  • Interest in small animal medicine; exotics experience welcomed but not required

  • New graduates encouraged to apply
