A leading specialty and emergency veterinary hospital on Florida’s Emerald Coast is seeking a Board-Certified Internist or Residency-Trained Veterinarian to expand its specialty medicine services. About the Practice
This is a well-established emergency and specialty referral hospital serving the Northwest Florida Panhandle. The practice functions as a trusted extension of primary care veterinarians, providing emergency, urgent, and advanced specialty services to a large and diverse caseload.
The hospital operates from a new, state-of-the-art facility with advanced diagnostics and a highly trained support team, allowing specialists to focus on patient care, case management, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic internal medicine procedures
Manage complex medical cases, including ultrasound-guided and endoscopic procedures
Collaborate with emergency clinicians to provide seamless patient care
Communicate effectively with referring veterinarians and pet owners
Support mentorship and professional development within the medical team
Contribute to a culture of collaboration, empathy, and clinical excellence
Candidate Profile
Board-Certified Internist (DACVIM) or Residency-Trained Veterinarian
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Florida
Strong diagnostic, case management, and communication skills
Team-oriented mindset with a passion for high-quality specialty care
Interest in building strong referral relationships and community trust
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range from $165,000 to $185,000
Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance
$5,000 annual CE allowance + 4 CE PTO days (for board-certified specialists)
