Compensation: $185,000 to $205,000 + Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance
About the Role
A rapidly expanding emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Doral, Florida is seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist or Residency-Trained Veterinarian to join its growing oncology service. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and grow a dedicated oncology department within a modern, forward-thinking hospital environment.
You’ll practice advanced oncology medicine in a collaborative setting that integrates general practice, emergency, and specialty care, allowing for continuity, case diversity, and meaningful patient impact.
About the Practice
This is a well-established emergency and referral hospital serving the greater Miami area, currently entering an exciting phase of growth. The practice is relocating to a brand-new, 8,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility scheduled to open in mid-2025, significantly expanding clinical capabilities.
The new hospital will feature:
A dedicated oncology department
Advanced diagnostics including CT, ultrasound, and full radiology suite
Multiple surgical suites and expanded exam rooms
The culture emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and high standards of patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
Provide advanced medical oncology care, including diagnostics, treatment planning, and case management
Collaborate closely with emergency clinicians, general practitioners, and support teams
Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic tools to support oncology cases
Communicate effectively with pet owners and referring veterinarians
Participate in the development and growth of the oncology service line
Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented, and educational hospital culture
Candidate Profile
Board-Certified Medical Oncologist (DACVIM-Oncology) or Residency-Trained Veterinarian
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Florida
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
Collaborative mindset with a passion for specialty medicine
Interest in building and expanding an oncology program within a growing hospital
