Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and growth of a specialized veterinary surgery department

  • Mentor and guide veterinary team members within the surgical service

  • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding surgical procedures, treatment plans, and outcomes

  • Maintain detailed patient medical records and surgical documentation

  • Uphold the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient safety

Candidate Profile

  • Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon (DACVS) or Residency-Trained Veterinary Surgeon

  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Alaska
