A rapidly expanding emergency and specialty hospital in Ventura, California is seeking a Veterinary Internist to join their Internal Medicine team. This position is open to board-certified internists or residency-trained, board-eligible veterinarians, with full-time or part-time schedules available to suit lifestyle preferences.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage complex internal medicine cases in small animals
Collaborate with emergency, critical care, and specialty teams on patient care
Perform diagnostic procedures including ultrasound, endoscopy, and advanced imaging
Communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment plans and prognoses
Mentor and support colleagues, sharing expertise and best practices
Participate in daily rounds and case discussions
Maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinical excellence
Candidate Profile
DVM or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school
Board-certified or residency-trained, board-eligible internist
Active California veterinary license
Strong communication and client education skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach
Experience with emergency or critical care preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $200,000 – $250,000+ (DOE)
