Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per year
About the Role
A growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with payroll experience to join their team. This is a hands-on role, providing accurate bookkeeping and payroll services for a varied client portfolio. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently and have a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for clients, including bank reconciliations and journal entries

Prepare and submit payroll accurately and on time

Process VAT returns and other routine accounting tasks

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Support clients with ad-hoc accounting and payroll queries
Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within an accountancy practice

Payroll experience is essential

Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients
