Responsibilities
Perform advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries for small animals
Provide perioperative care and postoperative management in ICU and step-down wards
Collaborate with emergency and critical care teams to manage complex cases
Mentor and guide veterinary technicians, assistants, and junior clinicians
Participate in teaching and mentorship for veterinary students and residents
Implement and maintain high standards of patient care, protocols, and quality assurance
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and referring veterinarians
Candidate Profile
DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
Board-Certified (DACVS) or Residency-Trained Veterinary Surgeon
Licensed or license-eligible in California
DEA registration or eligibility
Strong clinical skills in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Passion for mentoring and teaching
Professionalism, ethics, and ability to provide constructive feedback
Physical ability to lift, stoop, and handle surgical patients safely
