About the Practice

This practice provides primary, urgent, and emergency care, along with dentistry, boarding, and bathing services for pets in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas, including Zachary, Denham Springs, Central, and Prairieville.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver emergency and urgent care for dogs and cats, including triage, diagnostics, and treatment planning

  • Manage hospitalized patients overnight and on weekends, including specialty care follow-ups

  • Build collaborative relationships with colleagues, support staff, and referral partners

  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records

  • Participate in morning rounds and contribute to a culture of learning and professional development

  • Foster a positive, supportive work environment for all team members

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) or equivalent required

  • Licensed to practice in Louisiana in good standing

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for client and patient care

  • Experience in emergency or critical care preferred, but new graduates with a strong interest in emergency medicine are welcome
