About the Practice
Join a state-of-the-art emergency and critical care hospital equipped to handle complex cases. The facility features:
Full in-house IDEXX lab equipment, including surgical ventilator, cautery, video endoscopy, and digital radiography
Referral-quality ultrasound and an in-house blood bank
Access to an ultrasound/echocardiography specialist and bi-monthly ophthalmology visits
Cutting-edge tools to provide the highest standard of patient care
The hospital is in the process of Level II Triage Center credentialing by the Emergency & Critical Care Society, highlighting its commitment to veterinary excellence. The practice is also deeply involved in the local Boone community, partnering with rescue organizations.
Responsibilities
Provide emergency medical, surgical, and critical care for small animals
Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results in urgent care scenarios
Collaborate with specialists and the ER veterinary team to manage complex cases
Mentor and support colleagues in best practices for emergency care
Maintain high standards of client communication, care documentation, and patient outcomes
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an accredited institution
Valid veterinary license in North Carolina
Emergency or critical care experience preferred, but motivated veterinarians with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary (DOE) with potential for bonuses (Salary ranging from $170,000 to $190,000)
