Compensation: $135,000 to $155,000 + Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance

A well-established 24/7 emergency and critical care hospital in Niceville, Florida is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian (ER DVM) to join its experienced and highly supportive team. About the Practice
This is a high-volume emergency and critical care hospital serving a large regional referral area across Northwest Florida. The practice operates 24/7/365 and is recognized as a trusted resource for both pet owners and referring veterinarians.
The hospital is fully equipped to support advanced emergency medicine, including:
Digital radiography
Ultrasound and FAST scanning
Endoscopy and Doppler
Dedicated surgical suite
Full in-house reference laboratory with STAT testing
A high technician-to-doctor ratio and tenured support team allow veterinarians to focus on medicine—not logistics.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat emergency and critical care cases
Perform emergency procedures and surgical interventions as needed
Collaborate closely with experienced ER veterinarians and support staff
Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Participate in ongoing learning, training, and mentorship opportunities
Candidate Profile
DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Florida
New graduates welcome with mentorship provided
Passion for emergency medicine and critical care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach
Compensation & Benefits
Earn $1,000 per shift during training
After training: $1,000 per shift or 25% production (whichever is greater)
No negative accrual
12 shifts per month with the option to pick up additional shifts if desired
Sign-on bonus up to $50,000
Relocation assistance up to $12,000
Student loan repayment up to $20,000/year for 4 years
CE allowance: $2,500 annually + 3 CE PTO days (full-time ER DVMs)
