Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient exams, diagnostics, and emergency care
Perform surgeries and other advanced procedures
Communicate clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses
Maintain accurate medical records and follow controlled substance protocols
Collaborate with the veterinary team to uphold hospital standards
Participate in daily rounds and hospital protocol evaluations
Mentor staff and contribute to a supportive, high-functioning team environment
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina
1+ years of experience in veterinary emergency medicine (new grads with strong ER rotations considered)
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills
Exceptional interpersonal and client-communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform moderate physical tasks
Preferred:
Experience with cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurological exams
Demonstrated problem-solving and business acumen in clinical settings
Commitment to ongoing continuing education and mentorship
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary $125,000–$150,000 USD + sign-on bonus
