A highly regarded small animal general practice in Southern Tampa, Florida has a rare opportunity for an experienced Associate Veterinarian with a strong passion for surgery. About the Practice
Small Animal GP with walk-in services (surgery by appointment)
Average 10–25 patients per doctor per day
Consistent 2:1 doctor-to-technician ratio
Case mix includes wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care
Modern diagnostics including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house labs (including Imagyst), and a full dental suite
Collaborative, teaching-focused, high-touch culture with a fun, supportive team dynamic
Responsibilities
Perform and lead soft tissue surgical procedures with confidence
Provide high-quality medical care for wellness and urgent cases
Build strong, long-term client relationships through education and communication
Collaborate closely with technicians, CSRs, and leadership
Practice medicine with autonomy while maintaining clinical excellence
Candidate Profile
DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school
Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida
10+ years of clinical experience
Strong interest and demonstrated experience in small animal surgery
Compassionate, client-centered approach to care
Excellent communication and client-education skills
Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to continued growth
