Salary: £57,000 – £67,000 DOE
About the Role
We are representing a growing, independent mobile small animal veterinary practice based in South Norfolk that is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
This role offers the opportunity to practise high-quality first-opinion veterinary medicine with genuine autonomy, longer appointment times, and a strong focus on building meaningful client relationships. The position combines the flexibility and personal nature of mobile consultations with the clinical support of a fully equipped static base.
About the Practice
The practice has built an excellent local reputation for clinical excellence, compassion, and outstanding client care. Although consultations take place in clients’ homes, the team is fully supported by a static clinical base providing:
Surgery
Dentistry
Diagnostic imaging including x-rays
The caseload is predominantly dogs and cats, with occasional chickens and rabbits. There is no large animal or equine work. The practice also undertakes in-home euthanasia, delivering this service with exceptional care and sensitivity.
The team operates within a just culture, prioritising psychological safety, shared learning, and professional development. Plans are in place to transition to an Employee Ownership Trust within the next 12–18 months, offering long-term team members a meaningful stake in the future of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a first-opinion small animal caseload
Delivering consultations within clients’ homes
Performing diagnostics and procedures via the clinical base
Providing empathetic and professional client communication
Supporting in-home euthanasia services
Contributing to clinical standards and practice development
Working collaboratively within a supportive team
About You
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
Minimum of 4 years’ UK small animal experience
Confident all-rounder in general practice medicine and surgery
Strong communicator with a compassionate, client-focused approach
Enjoys teamwork and shared learning
Interest in contributing to practice growth and development
Clinical interests particularly well supported include:

Dermatology
Ophthalmology
Internal medicine
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
