A modern, well-equipped small animal veterinary hospital in Indian Land, South Carolina is seeking a Full-Time Hospital Veterinarian to join their clinical team. Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive preventive, medical, and surgical care for small animal patients

  • Perform thorough physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning

  • Utilise a structured, problem-based approach to case management

  • Carry out routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and abdominal surgery

  • Perform routine and advanced dentistry, including dental radiograph interpretation and extractions

  • Develop and manage hospitalised patient treatment plans, including referrals when required

  • Maintain accurate, detailed medical records in line with clinical standards

  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and colleagues

  • Participate in clinical rounds and collaborative case discussions

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent qualification

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina

  • DEA and controlled substance licensure (or ability to obtain)

  • Confident performing anaesthesia, routine surgery, and dentistry

  • Strong diagnostic, organisational, and problem-solving skills

  • Professional, compassionate, and calm under pressure

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Team-oriented clinician who contributes positively to hospital culture
