Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive preventive, medical, and surgical care for small animal patients
Perform thorough physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
Utilise a structured, problem-based approach to case management
Carry out routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and abdominal surgery
Perform routine and advanced dentistry, including dental radiograph interpretation and extractions
Develop and manage hospitalised patient treatment plans, including referrals when required
Maintain accurate, detailed medical records in line with clinical standards
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and colleagues
Participate in clinical rounds and collaborative case discussions
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent qualification
Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina
DEA and controlled substance licensure (or ability to obtain)
Confident performing anaesthesia, routine surgery, and dentistry
Strong diagnostic, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Professional, compassionate, and calm under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented clinician who contributes positively to hospital culture
