About the Role
We are working with a brand-new independent referral hospital, seeking an Internal Medicine Clinician to join their growing specialist team.
This role is suitable only for candidates who are an ECVS Diplomate, RCVS Advanced Practitioner, or Certificate Holder in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
This is a rare opportunity to help establish and shape an internal medicine service from day one within a purpose-built referral environment. Flexible working arrangements are available, with both part-time and full-time options considered to support work–life balance.
You will work closely with experienced referral clinicians, including a Diplomate Soft Tissue Surgeon, within a collaborative and forward-thinking hospital setting.
About the Practice
It is an independent, purpose-built referral centre created to deliver advanced veterinary care to referring practices across the North of England. Conveniently located just off the A1, the hospital is easily accessible from Newcastle, Leeds, and surrounding regions.
The hospital is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technology, including:
Siemens 1.5T MRI
Siemens CT scanner
Karl Storz endoscopy and rigid scope systems
Mindray Doppler ultrasound scanner
Comprehensive in-house laboratory facilities

Key Responsibilities
Managing referral-level internal medicine cases
Performing advanced diagnostics and procedures
Delivering high-quality consultations and case workups
Collaborating closely with surgical and referral colleagues
Communicating effectively with referring veterinary practices
Contributing to the development and growth of the internal medicine service
Maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and professionalism
About You
ECVS Diplomate in Small Animal Internal Medicine, or
RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Internal Medicine, or
Certificate Holder in Small Animal Internal Medicine
You will also:
