Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injury

  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results

  • Advise clients on preventative care and treatment options

  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed

  • Provide guidance on end-of-life care

  • Maintain accurate patient medical records

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the veterinary team to ensure medical quality

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and relevant statutes

Candidate Profile

  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution

  • Appropriate state licensure and eligibility for DEA/BNDD

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experienced in small animal medicine with leadership potential

  • Team-oriented, confident in decision-making, and committed to high-quality care
