This well-established small animal clinic specializes in providing comprehensive care for dogs and cats. The practice emphasizes a steady-paced, supportive work environment with a 1:2:2 doctor-to-tech/assistant ratio, allowing veterinarians to focus on patient care while leveraging a highly skilled support team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical care while providing medical and non-medical leadership

  • Mentor and support associate veterinarians and staff

  • Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose and manage disease or injury

  • Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results

  • Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed

  • Provide guidance on end-of-life care for pets

  • Maintain accurate medical records

  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and regulations

  • Guide practice direction, improve medical standards, and monitor financial performance

Candidate Profile

  • DVM/VMD from an accredited AVMA institution

  • Appropriate state licensure and eligibility for DEA/BNDD

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Professional, courteous, and collaborative with staff and clients

  • Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds independently; over 25 pounds with assistance

  • Passionate about mentorship, growth, and delivering high-quality medicine

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $130,000–$150,000/year (negotiable based on experience)

  • Sign-On Bonus: $50,000
