Responsibilities
Provide high-quality medical care by examining and treating companion animals
Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications as needed
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect and interpret diagnostic samples
Advise clients on preventative care and treatment options
Provide compassionate guidance during end-of-life care
Maintain accurate, timely medical records
Offer day-to-day medical leadership while remaining primarily hands-on
Participate in light administrative oversight in partnership with leadership
Candidate Profile
DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution
Active or eligible for Alabama veterinary licensure
Eligible to obtain DEA and BNDD registration
Demonstrates strong medical judgment and surgical confidence
Communicates clearly and respectfully with clients and team members
Leads with professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative mindset
Adaptable, solution-focused, and calm in a busy practice setting
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently; assistance available for heavier patients
