About the Role

A Medical Director position is available at a well-established small animal veterinary practice in Chaska, Minnesota. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian looking to step into a leadership role or an experienced Medical Director seeking a new, vibrant practice.

The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to the veterinary team while maintaining high standards of patient care and operational excellence. They will partner with practice management and regional leadership to drive protocols, team development, and overall practice success.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, support, and lead an engaged and motivated clinical team

  • Develop, implement, and champion medical protocols and standards of care

  • Collaborate with Practice Manager and Regional Leadership on operational planning and growth initiatives

  • Lead by example, promoting a positive, collaborative, and continuous-learning culture

  • Support clinical excellence and exceptional client communication

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Minnesota

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Passion for mentorship and team development

  • Commitment to medical excellence and client care

  • Interest in expanding surgical or dental skills is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $130,000 – $145,000 USD, with leadership stipend and monthly bonus potential

  • PTO: up to 5 weeks off
