Key Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio managers in delivering services to clients

  • Carry out a mix of:

    • Bookkeeping

    • VAT return preparation

    • Accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies

    • Corporation tax computations and returns

  • Handle some personal tax work (not the main focus)

  • Build strong client relationships and provide high-quality service

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal procedures

  • Use software including IRIS, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks

  • Manage client queries promptly and professionally

  • Complete all work accurately and within deadlines

About You

  • AAT qualified with at least 3 years’ experience in an accounting practice

  • Strong bookkeeping and accounts preparation experience

  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Confident dealing with clients, offering advice and recommendations

  • Good working knowledge of Sage, Xero, IRIS and Microsoft

  • Team player with strong organisational skills

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

  • Experience in a similar practice role
