An entrepreneurial, independent accountancy firm in Truro is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join their team. This full-time, office-based role offers the chance to manage your own client portfolio while providing strategic business support beyond compliance. Salary & Benefits:
£23,000 – £30,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charitable organisations
Prepare Company Tax returns and self-assessment tax returns
Manage VAT submissions and compliance
Prepare Management Accounts
Take ownership of a client portfolio, building relationships and providing business-focused support
Work strategically with clients and colleagues to enhance accountancy services beyond compliance
Requirements:
Minimum AAT Level 4 qualification
At least 2 years’ experience in a well-established accountancy practice
Knowledge of accounts preparation across various sectors
Proficiency in Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality
