A respected and expanding accountancy firm in Chester is seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to support a diverse client portfolio. This full-time, permanent role offers opportunities for professional growth while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Salary & Benefits:
Up to £50,000 per year, based on experience
24 days annual leave plus additional Christmas leave

Key Responsibilities:
Handle client queries with HMRC
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
Compile personal tax computations and returns
Provide bookkeeping and management accounting services
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Prepare annual accounts and corporation tax returns
Work independently and as part of the team to deliver high-quality client service
Requirements:
Previous experience in an accounting or finance role preferred
AAT qualification preferred but not essential
Proficient in accounting software such as Sage or Xero
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
