Role Overview – Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior

The Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior role is perfect for a part-qualified accountant seeking experience across both accounts and audit. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in planning and executing audit assignments for a range of clients

  • Preparing statutory accounts in compliance with FRS 102 and FRS 105

  • Drafting corporation tax computations and returns

  • Supporting the audit team in fieldwork and liaising with clients

  • Using software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks for bookkeeping and accounts preparation

  • Collaborating with colleagues to meet client deadlines and expectations

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a UK-based accountancy practice

  • Part-qualified ACA or ACCA, or AAT Level 4 qualified

  • Confident in preparing accounts and basic tax computations

  • Competent with accounting software: Sage, Xero, QuickBooks

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines

Desirable:

  • Experience working on audit assignments

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Proactive approach to learning and development
