Role Overview
The Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior will assist the Accounts & Audit team in delivering high-quality accounting and audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for candidates with practice experience who are looking to develop their skills in both accounts preparation and audit work.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Assist on audits across a variety of clients and industries
Prepare management accounts, VAT returns, and bookkeeping
Assist with tax computations and returns
Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information and resolve queries
Support senior staff with ad-hoc assignments and advisory work
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
Studying towards ACA or AAT Level 4 (part-qualified or qualified by experience considered)
Audit experience desirable
Strong knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Confident with client contact and a client-centered approach
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
