Role Overview – Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior / Senior
The successful candidate will work across multiple areas, supporting the team in accounts, audits, and tax compliance. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing accounts for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Supporting audit assignments and liaising with clients where required
Preparing and assisting with tax returns
Mentoring and providing guidance to junior staff
Working independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with the wider team
Supporting paperless, digital-first workflows and using collaborative accounting software
Candidate Requirements
Experience in Accounts, Audit, and Tax within a UK-based accountancy practice
Semi-Senior or Senior level experience with ability to work independently
Comfortable mentoring junior staff
Technologically confident and able to work with paperless/digital accounting tools
ACA/ACCA qualification or working towards preferred but not essential if experience matches level
