Hours: Full-time (part-time, four days/week considered)
A well-established Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisors firm in Great Shelford, Cambridge, is seeking an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their highly experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified professional to manage client portfolios, provide expert technical advice, and contribute to the continued growth and innovation of a progressive practice.

Accounts & Tax Manager Responsibilities
Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and trusts
Prepare Corporation Tax returns, business tax computations, and personal tax returns
Review internally and externally prepared bookkeeping and management accounts
Perform occasional audit work as required
Research technical accounting and tax issues relevant to clients
Lead client meetings and calls, explaining accounts and tax matters clearly
Manage your own portfolio of clients and provide proactive advice
Support colleagues and contribute to practice development, systems, and growth initiatives
Assist partners with client acquisition, business wins, and new opportunities
Candidate Requirements
ACA/ACCA qualified
Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in practice
Technically strong and independent, with experience in FRS102, FRS105, Corporation Tax, and personal tax for small businesses
Skilled in Excel and familiar with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Confident leading client meetings and calls
Experience in audit work and keen to broaden skills
Proactive, inquisitive, and able to suggest advice and improvements independently
