Accounts Assistant
Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
Contract: Full Time, Office Based
A growing, well-established accountancy practice in Bromsgrove is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with practice experience who is looking to develop their skills across accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and general client support.
The Role:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will work closely with accountants and client managers, supporting a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts

Completing bookkeeping duties for a range of clients
-
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
-
Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns
-
Reconciling bank accounts and ledgers
-
Supporting the production of management accounts
-
Helping with client queries and gathering required information
-
General administrative and filing tasks to support the wider team
About You:
-
Experience working within an accountancy practice essential
-
AAT 3 or 4 qualified
-
Good understanding of bookkeeping and VAT principles
-
Familiar with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
-
High attention to detail and a desire to learn and progress

A team player with a proactive, positive attitude
