Role Overview – Accounts Assistant Manager
The Accounts Assistant Manager will support the accounts team in delivering high-quality statutory accounts and management reporting. Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback
Liaising with clients on accounts queries and reporting matters
Assisting partners in planning and managing departmental workflow
Preparing complex accounts for larger or more technical clients
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
Participating in staff training, appraisals, and mentoring programs
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
Strong background in general practice within an accountancy firm
Proven experience reviewing accounts and mentoring junior team members
Confidence in client relationship management
Strong organisational, technical, and commercial skills
