A well-established accountancy practice in Altrincham is seeking a qualified accountant (c. 5 years PQE) to join as an Accounts Assistant Manager / Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to develop their own client portfolio, support business growth initiatives, and play a key leadership role within the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in the management and development of the practice

  • Manage and maintain relationships with a varied client base

  • Provide expertise in corporate and personal taxation matters

  • Oversee and support staff training and development

  • Assist in business growth initiatives, including winning and managing new clients

  • Ensure high standards of compliance, reporting, and client service delivery

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, delivering proactive and practical advice

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with around 5 years post-qualification experience

  • Background in a small to medium-sized accountancy practice

  • Strong technical knowledge in corporate and personal tax

  • Proven client-facing experience with excellent communication skills

  • Experience in staff training and team management

  • Ambitious, proactive, and motivated to contribute to business growth
