About:
We are seeking a qualified accountant (c. 5 years PQE) with experience in a small to medium-sized accountancy practice to join a well established accountancy practice in Altrincham as Practice Manager and Assistant to the Director. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional who is eager to contribute to the growth of the business, develop their own client portfolio, and play a key role in managing their existing client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director in the management and development of the practice.
- Manage and maintain relationships with a varied client base.
- Provide expertise across both corporate and personal taxation matters.
- Oversee and support staff training and development.
- Assist in business growth initiatives, including winning and managing new clients.
- Ensure high standards of compliance, reporting, and client service delivery.
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with around 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Background in a small to medium-sized accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge in corporate and personal tax.
- Proven client-facing experience with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in staff training and team management.
- Ambitious, proactive, and keen to contribute to business growth.
