Role Overview – Accounts Junior
The Accounts Junior will provide support to the accounts team, gaining practical experience across bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and client communication. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Supporting bookkeeping tasks and preparing VAT returns
Helping maintain accurate financial records for clients
Liaising with clients and supporting senior team members with day-to-day queries
Gaining practical experience and training to support career progression
Candidate Requirements
Some experience in an accountancy practice (1 year+)
Ideally AAT Level 2/3 qualified or working towards qualification
Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Xero or Sage is an advantage
